Member Event | A Guided Walk Through the Past & Future of Section 106 and Olana
Sunday, October 11 | 11am–12pm
Join Sean Sawyer and Mark Prezorski for a guided landscape walk exploring Olana’s preservation history, the role of Section 106 in protecting its historic landscape and viewshed, and what its future could mean for Olana.
WEBINAR: Frederic Church, Mexico, and the Legacy of the Landscape Oil Sketch
Between 1881 and his death in 1900, Frederic Church made fifteen trips to Mexico. Inspired by the country’s varied topography and colonial architecture, he completed more than sixty plein-air oil sketches, graphite drawings, and finished paintings, while also collecting Mexican photographs, watercolors, books, ceramics, textiles, and Toltec reliefs.

Church 200 Fall Trivia Night
Test your knowledge of all things Olana during this special spring trivia night celebrating Frederic Church’s 200th birthday year! Join The Olana Partnership staff for a rousing game of trivia. Work in teams or test your luck solo. Winners and runners up will receive a special Olana prize pack. For ages 18 and up; refreshments available for purchase. $10/ FREE for members.
Art After Hours – Printmaking on Recycled Fabric
Bring new life to your wardrobe after hours at Olana! During this hands-on experience, participants will experiment with various ways of printing and dyeing clothing using recycled fabrics to create your own unique designs inspired by Fall. Bring fabric to repurpose or create something new!
